Advocacy and Policy Education
Advocacy: In 2023, the Alliance partnered with the National Advocacy Center of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd to teach individuals, policy and legislation makers about the connection between human trafficking and forced migration. During this time, we identified three bills that contained common sense solutions that would mitigate the risk faced by migrants to human trafficking. In this process, we held listening sessions and webinars as a way of learning more and bringing about awareness.
