IN 2020, OUR PROGRAMS REACHED OVER 28,000 ESTIMATED PARTICIPANTS AROUND THE WORLD. WE ADDED AN ESTIMATED 400 FACILITATORS TO OUR NETWORK. 91% OF STORY EXCHANGE PARTICIPANTS EXPRESSED AN INCREASE IN EMPATHY POST-STORY EXCHANGE, AS MEASURED BY OUR POST-EXCHANGE SURVEY IN COLLABORATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO. 89% OF PARTICIPANTS EXPRESSED MOTIVATION TOWARD POSITIVE ACTION-TAKING POST STORY EXCHANGE. 86% OF PARTICIPANTS FEEL THEIR PERSPECTIVES HAVE EXPANDED AFTER THE STORY EXCHANGE. IN 2020, WE HIRED SIX REGIONAL MANAGERS IN THE UNITED STATES TO CONTINUE THE EXPANSION OF OUR HUB GROWTH MODEL: TWO IN THE NORTHEAST, TWO IN THE SOUTHEAST, ONE IN THE MIDWEST, AND ONE IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. IN PLACE OF OUR 9TH ANNUAL GLOBAL SUMMIT, THE SUMMER OF IMPACT (SOI) PROGRAM WAS AN UNEXPECTED OPPORTUNITY TO ENGAGE WITH A MUCH LARGER AUDIENCE. THE EVENTS (WHICH TOOK PLACE JUL 13TH SEPT 2ND) SHOWCASED AND MARKETED OUR HUBS ALONGSIDE KEY LEADERS AND INSTITUTIONAL PARTNERS WITH SIGNATURE STORY EXCHANGES BASED ON RACIAL DIVIDES IN THE UNITED STATES. WE LAUNCHED FOUR EMPATHY-INTO-ACTION (EIA) CAMPAIGNS FEATURING KENTUCKY, THE BRONX, PALESTINE, AND SOUTH AFRICA, WITH COHESIVE NARRATIVES, TIMELINES, BUDGETS, AND A TARGETED MEDIA CAMPAIGN. THE LAUNCH OF OUR ARTISTS NETWORK WITH HEADLINER EVENTS FEATURING STING, COLUM MCCANN, AND ISHMAEL BEAH, AMONG OTHERS, FURTHER HIGHLIGHTED OUR EIA CAMPAIGNS. AS A RESULT, WE EARNED OVER 4M IMPRESSIONS, 77,000 LINK CLICKS WITH COST PER CLICK (CPC) OF $0.22 AND A CLICK THROUGH RATE (CTR) OF 1.72%, BEATING ALL INDUSTRY BENCHMARKS ACROSS SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS. THE FIELD EXCHANGE PROGRAM IS AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE DESIGNED FOR STUDENTS FROM DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS, CULTURES, AND COMMUNITIES TO EXPLORE ONE ANOTHER'S HOMES AND HISTORIES THROUGH N4'S FIVE THEMES: IDENTITY, ENVIRONMENT, FAITH, IMMIGRATION, AND VIOLENCE. IT IS A HIGHLY IMMERSIVE, YEAR-LONG AND CUSTOMIZED EXPERIENCE THAT REQUIRES SIGNIFICANT WORK IN THE CLASSROOM DURING THE ENTIRE ACADEMIC YEAR.DUE TO THE REMOTE-LEARNING WORLD THAT 2020 BROUGHT ABOUT, NARRATIVE 4 ORGANIZED A SERIES OF SIGNIFICANT PIVOTS IN OUR APPROACH, ALL DESIGNED TO SUPPORT STUDENTS AND EDUCATORS IN THESE CHALLENGING TIMES WHILE MAXIMIZING OUR VIRTUAL IMPACT. IN LIEU OF AN IN-PERSON FIELD EXCHANGE, WE KICKED OFF OUR VIRTUAL FIELD EXCHANGE WITH A BOOK CLUB WITH COLUM MCCANN, N4 STAFF, AND FIELD EXCHANGE STUDENTS AND TEACHERS FROM UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS HIGH SCHOOL AND FLOYD CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL.
