Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity SEED National is the western affilication of the SEED Program that was founded by and housed at Wellesley College. Coalition - SESEC hosts monthly coalition meetings where topics of community interest are presented and discussed and community recommendations are shared with the presenters. Topics include planned capital expenditures by Seattle Public Schools, disciplinary policies, educational equity and justice, histories of indiginous peoples. Advocacy Family Engagement - SESEC manages a bi-annual Family Engagement Survey to assess opinions of families of color on the engagement and communiciation practices of local schools. The survey results are used to affect positive changes in those practices to make them more culturally aware and to make schools a more inviting and welcoming place for families of color and immigrant/refugee families.
