Comprehensive Survivor Support Services
In 2023, CVTC's renowned clinical program served over 1,740 clients, including over 420 incarcerated survivors served by our PREA program, providing them with more than 10,300 individual, group and complementary therapy sessions. Our Volunteer Rape Crisis and Domestic Violence Advocates and Sexual Assault Forensic Examiners supported more than 270 survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence across 6 New York City hospital partners. Our legal services team provided trauma-informed legal support to over 280 individuals as they navigate issues around immigration, family court, criminal court, reporting, housing needs and more. And our PREA team coordinated services for incarcerated survivors of sexual violence across New York State. CVTC supports any survivor of interpersonal violence or trauma, and allows them to fully process the experience that brought them to us, free-of-charge. In 2023 CVTC provided a range of other services to complement our therapeutic work. Our prevention team worked with 16 university, middle and high school campuses throughout New York City to provide comprehensive sexual violence prevention training to students, faculty, staff and community members. We partner with nightlife and party spaces across New York to provide in-depth bystander, sexual violence prevention and response trainings to bartenders, servers, managers, owners and hospitality staff, and offer trainings to community partners, corporations and other entities.
