San Diego Refugee Tutoring Program
San Diego Refugee Tutoring is a one-to-one tutoring and mentoring program with 236 volunteers that serves 140 TK-12 refugee students twice-weekly throughout the school year. SDRT consists of four programs: Tutoring, Scholarships, Family Educational Support, and Events. The tutoring and mentoring program provided 5,328 hours of tutoring, 1,153 pounds of food, 129 pairs of shoes, 133 backpacks, and 554 books to 140 students. San Diego Refugee Tutoring awarded $8,000 in college scholarships to seven students. San Diego Refugee Tutoring held three parent councils/trainings to support education in the home in the 2023-2024 school year.
