HOPE RENOVATIONS
Programs
Program 1 [2020]
Women's Trades Training Program - For the first six months of 2020, we planned launch of our program. We brought on two Training staff members. We managed the upfit of our training workshop, and purchased the tools and materials needed for our program. We built relationships with local trades employers interested in hiring our graduates. We researched and pulled together our operational policies for the program, including COVID protocol and PPE. We developed our training program curriculum and recruited our first cohort of six women. In July, we launched our program. We provided 225 hours of instruction throughout the program. We provided three hands-on training opportunities, brought in 12 guest speakers, and carried out one mock interview day. While carrying out the training program for the first cohort, we recruited for our second cohort. After the first cohort graduated, our second cohort of seven women began. During this cohort we brought in an additional 3 guest speakers, and piloted a career fair with local employers. These women graduated in December. Of the 13 women who graduated our program in 2020, 9 went into jobs, apprenticeships or internships in the skilled trades, and 8 enrolled in further trades education.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$299.5KProgram 2 [2020]
