THE SALTON SEA IS A LOOMING ECOLOGICAL DISASTER, FILLED WITH TOXINS SUCH AS ACCUMULATED DRIFTING WASTE AND LIFELESS ROTTING SEA CREATURES. THE BIENNALE PROGRAM SEEKS TO BRING ATTENTION AND RESOURCES TO BOMBAY BEACH. THE FOUNDERS OF TMOK HAVE PURCHASED LAND IN THE TOWN, THAT WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE FOR USE, BY TMOK ARTISTS AND CREATIVES IT SUPPORTS. THE INTENT IS TO REHABILITATE AND ENHANCE THESE SPACES IN ORDER TO CREATE PERMANENT WORKS OF INTERACTIVE ART THAT CAN BE ENJOYED BY LOCALS AND VISITOR'S YEAR- ROUND.
