The Foundation administers 1,234 different scholarships for Boise State University. Applicants are required to write an essay, provide transcripts, and if applying for scholarships requiring financial need applicants must include the Free Application for Federal Student Aid report (FAFSA). Other requirements may be included, depending on the scholarship. The Foundation provides support services for both the Bronco Athletic Association and the BSU Alumni Association. The Foundation provides for general support for Boise State University. Some highlights for the fiscal year end June 30, 2018 include the continued support of the Fine Arts Building and Material Sciences Building, the PhD Program for Materials Science and Engineering, Computer Science, STEM, College of Health Sciences, research in public policy, education, arts and sciences and other various support programs at Boise State University. The Foundation also funded the creation and support of the College of Innovation and Design.The Foundation was able to gift to BSU two buildings during the fiscal year.
