Faith and Liberty Discovery Center
SEE SCHEDULE OTHE FAITH AND LIBERTY DISCOVERY CENTER IS THE NEWEST HIGH-TECH AND HIGH-TOUCH ATTRACTION IN PHILADELPHIA, AMERICA'S FOUNDING CITY. IT HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO GUIDE THE VISITOR IN A PERSONAL EXPLORATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FAITH AND LIBERTY IN THE AMERICAN EXPERIENCE BY ILLUMINATING THE INFLUENCE OF THE BIBLE ON INDIVIDUALS IN KEY HISTORICAL AND PERSONAL MOMENTS. THE CENTER'S GALLERIES AND EXHIBITS REVEAL PERSONAL STORIES OF HOW FAITH GUIDES LIBERTY TOWARD JUSTICE. AMERICAN VALUES LIKE FAITH, LIBERTY, JUSTICE, HOPE, UNITY AND LOVE HAVE SHAPED OUR COUNTRY AND FORMED US AS A PEOPLE. THESE SAME VALUES HAVE MOTIVATED SOME OF OUR GREATEST CULTURAL MOMENTS AND POLITICAL ACHIEVEMENTS FROM INDEPENDENCE, TO EMANCIPATION, TO WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE, AND TO CIVIL RIGHTS. AND THESE VALUES HAVE PULLED US THROUGH THE NATION'S DARKEST DAYS OF WAR, DOMESTIC STRIFE, AND TERRORIST ATTACKS. The mission of FLDC is continuing through the Faith and Liberty Initiative (FLI) which will integrate the themes of the FLDC into its wider programming as a key strategy to promote confidence in the Bible. FLI projects leverage and extend the intellectual property and the scholarly and organizational relationships from the FLDC. Products in development include: 1) an online Faith and Liberty Bible app and a commemorative America 250 print edition; 2) a Faith and Liberty high school course suitable for distribution to public and faith-based schools and students; and 3) a Faith and Liberty Speakers Bureau in partnership with a broader coalition starting with the America 250 commemorations. Extensive third-party market testing in 2025 sustains the Society's confidence in this content and strategy for enhancing the mission and attracting ongoing support.
