P-20 Rural Redesign Support
P-20 Rural Redesign Support-Collegiate Edu-Nation's P-20 Rural Redesign support program focuses on assisting schools and districts in Texas to improve their educational offerings from Pre-K through postsecondary education.Achievements:1) Provided comprehensive support to 11 School Action campuses in Texas, resulting in improved educational outcomes for students.2) Collaborated with educators and administrators to develop innovative strategies and initiatives that enhance the quality of education in these schools.3) Facilitated the adoption of best practices in teaching and learning, leading to increased student engagement and academic success.PTECH Coaching Support-The PTECH coaching support program aims to help 13 rural school districts in Texas provide students with the skills and guidance needed for success in postsecondary education and meaningful careers.Achievements:1) offered coaching and mentorship to students in these districts, enhancing their readiness for postsecondary education and career pathways.2) Fostered partnerships between schools, businesses, and colleges, creating opportunities for real-world experiences and internships for students.3) Assisted students in setting and achieving their educational and career goals, leading to a higher rate of successful transitions from high school to college or the workforce.Robotics Program Support-Collegiate Edu-Nation's Robotics program support helps 9 rural school districts in Texas establish and run robotics programs and participate in competitions.Achievements:1) Guided these districts in successfully launching robotics programs, providing students with valuable STEM skills and encouraging interest in technology and engineering.2) Coached students in building and programming robots for competitions, leading to improved problem-solving and teamwork skills.3) Helped these districts compete in robotics competitions, where students demonstrated their technical and engineering abilities, fostering a sense of achievement and community pride.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2022 – Jun 30, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$1.7MProgram 1 [2024]
Other Programs-Achievements:* AmeriCorps: placed 32 service members in 11 districts across Texas to provide additional instructional support while also providing real-world experience to those members.* Edu-REACH (Rural Education Achievement for Community Hope): Supported 27 rural communities with adult academic postsecondary coaching, career pathway development, and apprenticeship expansion. Enrolled 129 adult learners in high- demand fields including teaching, nursing, and skilled trades. Formed 38 new business partnerships and launched pre-apprenticeship and registered apprenticeship programs aligned with regional workforce needs. Recognized as a Department of Labor Apprenticeship Ambassador for innovation in rural workforce development.* EPIC (Empowering People, Inspiring Communities): Convened regional think tanks to engage mayors, EDC directors, county judges, and other leaders in community revitalization strategies. Launched civic mentorship programs connecting local leaders with Year 1320 students to build future leadership capacity. Piloted the Hamlin #EPIC model with population growth and workforce alignment goals. Expanded the initiative to include the West Texas Flywheel Digital Workforce component and regional collaboration on grants and economic development.* Affiliate Program: CEN has played a pivotal role in supporting 10 affiliate districts in implementing the P-20 model using the Essential Elements. Through targeted coaching and strategic collaboration, districts have made measurable progress in aligning their systems to support college, career, and military readiness. Collegiate Edu-Nation's Robotics program support helps 18 rural school districts in Texas establish and sustain robotics programs and participate in competitions.Achievements:* Guided these districts in successfully launching robotics programs, providing students with valuable STEM skills and encouraging interest in technology and engineering.* Provided professional development to school district personnel in team management, robotic mechanics, and coding.* Coached students in building and programming robots for competitions, leading to improved problem-solving and teamwork skills.* Helped these districts compete in robotics competitions, where students demonstrated their technical and engineering abilities, fostering a sense of achievement and community pride.* Sponsored and coached a CEN Unified team composed of students with special needs. These students were from different school districts and they collaborated virtually and in-person. They were able to compete at events together. This experience exposed them to STEM experiences as well as other students with disabilities.
