Youth Empowerment for Advancement Hangout (YEAH) is a nonprofit organization focused on youth organizing in West and Southwest Philadelphia. With an operating budget of $2.5 million and total revenue of $2.7 million, YEAH aims to create safe and authentic hangout spaces through culturally relevant engagement and teen-led interventions that address the root causes of violence. The organization utilizes peer-led mediation, conflict resolution, community engagement, and economic opportunities to interrupt the cycle of youth community violence, and it does not rely on a single funder for 50% or more of its revenue.
