Pepper's will be providing housing, veterinary care and enrichment for senior, homeless, or other "at risk" dogs to give them a further chance at a healthy life in a loving environment. Their purpose is to provide the most home-like environment for dogs not easily adopted. In addition, Pepper's looks to benefit the public through reduced or free spay and neutering, a pet food bank, free educational resources, and partnering with college students by offering internship programs. During 2020, Pepper's officers and employees leased and began renovating and constructing a facility with areas for office space, veterinary care, grooming, and housing as well as outdoor spaces for the dogs. Other preparation included training, conferences, and travel to view similar facilities in order to ensure the highest quality of care.Pepper's cared for 18 dogs in 2020 and its goal is to care for up to 30 dogs by the end of 2021. The long-term goal is to reach a capacity of care for 50 dogs.
