THE FOUNDATION DEVELOPS ANNUAL AND GROWING FUNDS TO SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS AND PROGRAMS IN ROUTT AND MOFFAT COUNTIES.1.THROUGH OUR ANNUAL GRANT CYCLE, OVER $656,068 WAS GRANTED OUT TO 79 NONPROFITS.2.OVER $564,919 IN SCHOLARSHIPS WERE GRANTED TO 137 STUDENTS ATTENDING 64 UNIVERSITIES, COLLEGES AND VOCATIONAL TRADE SCHOOLS, INCLUDING $220,000 FOR STUDENTS WITH FINANCIAL NEED AS DETERMINED BY FAFSA.3.IN TOTAL, $11.4 MILLION WAS GRANTED OUT TO 332 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN 1201 GRANTS THROUGH FUNDS MANAGED BY THE FOUNDATION.SCHEDULE O4.THE FOUNDATIONS LARGEST CONTRIBUTION TO THE COMMUNITY IN 2024, AND PERHAPS THE SINGLE MOST IMPACTFUL ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THE FOUNDATIONS HISTORY, WAS THE SUCCESSFUL EFFORT TO SAVE CASEYS POND A 138-BED FACILITY PROVIDING INDEPENDENT AND ASSISTED LIVING AND A SKILLED NURSING FACILITY. WITHIN THREE MONTHS OF CASEYS POND BEING ENTERED INTO RECEIVERSHIP, THE FOUNDATION TOOK THE LEAD IN RAISING $30M FROM 421 DONORS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE FACILITY AND OPERATING SUPPORT FOR NEW NONPROFIT OWNERS NORTHWEST COLORADO HEALTH; WITHIN FOUR MONTHS THE SALE WAS CLOSED, ALLOWING THIS IMPORTANT COMMUNITY ASSET TO REMAIN RIGHT HERE IN THE YAMPA VALLEY. 5.IN 2023, THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION ESTABLISHED A LOCAL IMPACT INVESTMENT PROGRAM. LOCAL IMPACT INVESTMENTS ARE THOSE MADE TO LOCAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS OR PUBLIC SERVING AGENCIES WITH THE INTENTION OF GENERATING MEASURABLE COMMUNITY BENEFIT ALONGSIDE MODEST FINANCIAL RETURNS. RECOGNIZING THAT THE LACK OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING CAUSES A CASCADE OF ISSUES AND IS THE MOST SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGE IMPACTING THE YAMPA VALLEY TODAY, IN 2024 THE FOUNDATION ISSUED ITS SECOND AND THIRD LOANS UNDER THE IMPACT INVESTMENT PROGRAM. -OUR $5.25M INVESTMENT IN THE PRAIRIE RUN APARTMENT PROJECT COMPLETED FUNDING FOR 135 APARTMENTS, MOST OF WHICH ARE INCOME-RESTRICTED FOR RESIDENTS EARNING 80%160% OF THE AREA MEDIAN INCOME, HELPING ADDRESS RISING DEMAND AND HOUSING COSTS IN HAYDEN. -THE FOUNDATION COMMITTED TO A $7.75M LOAN TO THE MILNER PARK COOPERATIVE WITH CLOSING IN 2025. APPROXIMATELY $77,000 WAS ADVANCED IN 2024. THIS LOAN WILL ENABLE THE MILNER PARK RESIDENTS TO PURCHASE THE LAND UNDER THEIR HOMES, PREVENTING A SALE THAT COULD HAVE LED TO RENT HIKES OR REDEVELOPMENT. OWNERSHIP ENSURES LONG-TERM AFFORDABILITY, RENT STABILITY, AND HOMEOWNERSHIP EQUITY, AND GIVES ASSURANCE TO RESIDENTS THEY CAN REMAIN IN THE YAMPA VALLEY FOR THE LONG-TERM.6. INSPIRED BY OUR DONORS, WE ENCOURAGE NONPROFITS TO LET US KNOW WHEN THEY EXPERIENCE AN EMERGENCY NEED AND AN UNBUDGETED EXPENSE THROUGH OUR EMERGENT NEEDS FUNDING PROGRAM. THIS EFFORT RESULTED IN $468,000 TO MEET THE UNEXPECTED, EMERGENT NEEDS OF 15 NONPROFITS IN 2024.7.THE FOUNDATIONS' PASSPORT CLUB, THROUGH OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE STEAMBOAT SKI & RESORT CORPORATION, HAS GENERATED OVER $9.9 MILLION.
