Program 1 [2018]
Bible Translation: In FY'18 we saw an encouraging acceleration in Bible translation. Biblica launched the first modern language Bible in 100 years for our brothers and sisters in Serbia. We also launched major updates to translations in Luganda for Ghana, Yoruba in Nigeria, and Swahili in Central East Africa, as well as a new edition for Farsi in the Middle East. We also expanded the reach of Bible translation for those with vision impairments and learning disabilities. In FY '18 Biblica had 45 translation projects. Of these, 5 were completed and 40 others were still in process.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesOct 1, 2017 – Sep 30, 2018Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$1.6MProgram 2 [2018]
Bible Access: Biblica is committed to sharing the Bible with those who so desperately need to hear the message of salvation and love. Poverty, political and spiritual oppression, and literacy keep millions of people from encountering God in His Word. Digital and audio Bibles are effective tools in overcoming these barriers, providing Scripture in a format that is easier to understand and faster to receive. During FY'18 Biblica sold 1.0 million Bibles and Scripture resources and licensed an additional 9.7 million Bibles and Scripture resources through its publishing and licensing programs. Biblica has 67 of its Bible translations available in digital format. During FY'18, there were 5.6 billion digital Scripture requests. Biblica also has 20 of its Bible translations available in audio format. During FY'18, there were 1.2 billion digital audio requests.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesOct 1, 2017 – Sep 30, 2018Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$2.2MProgram 3 [2018]
Bible Engagement: Having access to the Bible isn't enough. In order for God's Word to transform a life, it must be read, understood, and obeyed. Biblica develops programs that encourage Bible reading and help people engage with God's Word in a meaningful way. These include training pastors and church leaders to understand and teach the Bible accurately, introducing young people to Christ, and encouraging church congregations to study Scripture together. Biblica provided 485,386 Scripture resources through its Reach 4 Life and other children's programs; 899,622 Scripture resources to those living in persecuted areas including the Muslin world; 133,015 Scripture resources to those living in poverty. In total, Biblica provided 2,014,185 Bibles, New Testaments and Gospel portions in FY'18 through its various ministry programs in partnership with churches and other Christian agencies.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesOct 1, 2017 – Sep 30, 2018Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$5.6M
