In 2018, the Colorado Cattlemen's Agricultural Land Trust (CCALT) partnered with nine families to conserve 14,520 acres, bringing our total acreage conserved since 1995 to approximately 571,000 acres. Ranches conserved in 2018 spanned seven counties across Colorado and protected diverse resources from the prairie grasslands and canyon country of Las Animas County to the southern shore of Green Mountain Reservoir. Most importantly, these projects helped continue long-standing family ranching traditions and maintain rural economies.CCALT continues to work with our partners to advance and support land conservation in Colorado and nationwide.
