Economic Empowerment for Refugees
Economic Development: Workforce Development programs provide refugees an outlet and platform to use a skillset that leads to financial independence and economic mobility. The Sewing for Success program launched in 2022 which taught 26 Afghan women to sew by making various clothing items. It also supported the women to legally start their own microenterprise and open a business checking account. The Nourish to Flourish program empowers immigrants and refugees with culinary training.
