    The Community Foundation of San Carlos serves as a connector for the community and local organizations by identifying community needs, sharing information resources. We address identified community needs by bringing together local nonprofits, businesses, service organizations, community leaders and donors to contribute time, in-kind goods services, and financial resources to create sustainable solutions. The focus of 2021 was on supporting our community members impacted by the pandemic while celebrating the rich and diverse heritage that comprise our community. During the 2020-2021 fiscal year, our tireless grants committee reviewed 53 applications, awarded 213,300 grants to 41 area nonprofits. In addition, the Community Foundation of San Carlos formed a Racial Justice committee composed of community volunteers and board members. This group of volunteers have realized diversity, equity and inclusion DEI efforts that have touched so many lives in the brief span of a year.

  • Community Foundation Support and Events

    THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF SAN CARLOS SERVES AS A CONNECTOR FOR THE COMMUNITY AND LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS BY IDENTIFYING COMMUNITY NEEDS SHARING INFORMATION AND RESOURCES. WE ADDRESS IDENTIFIED COMMUNITY NEEDS BY BRINGING TOGETHER LOCAL NONPROFITS BUSINESSES SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS COMMUNITY LEADERS AND DONORS TO CONTRIBUTE TIME IN-KIND GOODS & SERVICES AND FINANCIAL RESOURCES TO CREATE SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS. THE FOCUS OF 2024 WAS ON SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHILE CELEBRATING THE RICH AND DIVERSE HERITAGE THAT COMPRISE OUR COMMUNITY. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR WE AWARDED $150,000 GRANTS TO 16 AREA NONPROFITS. IN ADDITION THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF SAN CARLOS SUPPORTED A WIDE VARIETY OF COMMUNITY EVENTS AND CELEBRATIONS INCLUDING PUBLIC ART PROJECTS.
