Affordable Housing Case Management
OUR FIRST CLIENT WAS ACCEPTED IN NOVEMBER 2022 AND SECOND IN DECEMBER 2022. CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO ASSIST CLIENTS WITH FINDING LANDLORDS WILLING TO WORK WITH THEIR POOR CREDIT HISTORY AND GETTING THEM INTO AFFORDABLE HOUSING. DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED AS APPLICATION FEES/SECURITY DEPOSITS WERE PAID FOR BOTH AND MONTHLY RENT WAS PAID FOR CLIENT #1. CASE MANAGER ALSO HELPED CLIENTS TO ATTAIN DONATED BASIC HOUSEHOLD ITEMS AND FURNITURE. CASE MANAGER WILL CONTINUE TO ACCEPT ADDITIONAL PARTICIPANTS INTO THE PROGRAM IN THE NEXT YEAR. THE CASE MANAGER ALSO HELPED CLIENTS TO ATTAIN DONATED BASIC HOUSEHOLD ITEMS AND FURNITURE. ONE FAMILY AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS RECEIVED ASSISTANCE WITH MORTGAGE PAYMENTS AND MEDICAL EXPENSES. ANOTHER FAMILY WHO SUFFERED A TOTAL LOSS OF THEIR HOME IN A FIRE RECEIVED ASSISTANCE WITH TEMPORARY HOUSING. ADDITIONALLY, PAYMENTS WERE MADE FOR CELLPHONES FOR CLIENTS, DMV FEES & TRANSPORTATION - ALL WITH THE GOAL OF STABLE EMPLOYMENT AT A LIVING WAGE FOR CLIENTS TO SUSTAIN INDEPENDENT LIVING. A TOTAL OF 7 INDIVIDUALS PLUS 4 FAMILIES BENEFITED FROM SERVICES/ASSISTANCE DURING THE YEAR. CASE MANAGER WILL CONTINUE TO ACCEPT ADDITIONAL PARTICIPANTS INTO THE PROGRAM IN THE NEXT YEAR.
