Women's Health Prenatal Care Program
See Schedule ORenown Transitional Care Services operates Renown Medical Group - Women's Health. Renown Regional Medical Center is the birthplace of two-thirds of all babies born in the area. Through Women's Health, no patient is denied service based on inability to make payment. Women's Health has demonstrated that accessible prenatal care, with monitoring and treatment for high-risk pregnancies, improves outcomes and reduces costs for the community. Women's Health gives expectant moms a program that begins with no-cost prenatal classes and includes prenatal visits with a physician or nurse practitioner, laboratory testing and other essential services, the baby's birth at Renown Regional Medical Center and a newborn visit at the hospital from the baby's pediatrician. For the calendar year ending December 31, 2024, Renown Transitional Care Services, along with its parent, Renown Health and its subsidiaries, provided approximately $196 million in benefit to the community (using community benefit numbers gathered by the Nevada Hospital Association using state-approved criteria to ensure consistency).
