Changemakers Bootcamp
In 2022 Georgia Youth Justice Coalition for Action recruited and trained more than 50 young Georgians from underrepresented communities in leadership development and civic empowerment as part of the Changemakers Bootcamp. In Fall 2022 Georgia Youth Justice Coalition for Action regularly engaged in non-partisan get-out-the-vote activities and voter education drives around the issues at stake in the 2022 midterm election including public education racial justice healthcare access and community safety. Georgia Youth Justice Coalition for Action built a youth organizing campaign to engage high school students in an education justice movement to promote equity and opportunity in public education. As part of that work we elevated the voices of dozens of young Georgians into traditional and digital media to shift the narrative toward transformative solutions that give all children a fair and equitable opportunity to learn.
