Sanctuary and Placement Services Description: In 2024, Mareworthy Charities provided care and support to 18 retired Thoroughbred broodmares. Of those, 13 mares remained in lifelong sanctuary at year-end, while 5 were successfully adopted into approved homes. Each mare received individualized care, including housing, nutrition, farrier and veterinary services, and enrichment. Mareworthy also coordinated safe transport and intake for at-risk mares and offered placement support to owners needing assistance with responsible retirement. Care and transition data are based on internal tracking of intakes, adoptions, and sanctuary residents throughout the calendar year.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$111K
