Watershed Restoration Initiatives
Restoration:This year, significant restoration projects continued across the watershed. Large-scale efforts included Lacey Upper Meadow, Hoke Lower Meadow, Truckee River Wildlife Area Boca Unit, Snowcrest Meadow, and Donner Creek Confluence. We prioritized forest health with projects such as Independence Forest Health. Community Education and Outreach: We expanded our outreach through virtual tours, project showcases, and educational events. Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram continued to share progress on restoration efforts. Additionally, in-person project site tours, such as those for TRWA-Boca Unit, brought greater awareness to our work.
