Cities & Towns: Ensuring that we grow well working and advocating with the LandWatch community leads to many amazing, tangible gains for regional livability. Reviewed 175 land use and development applications in urban areas. Provided 40 comments and/or testimony at State and City hearings and meetings. Kept 4 multimodal projects in Bend Central District on track. Assessed 5 concepts for future growth in Sisters. Rural Lands: As the local watchdog for Oregons renowned land use planning system, we uphold the laws that make our region unique. Reviewed 1,400+ rural land use and development applications. Wild Lands & Waters: Protecting the ecological integrity of our wild places is critical amid a climate crisis and large-scale biodiversity loss. Our efforts all aim to keep landscapes connected and intact. Identified 11 locations for wildlife crossing structures between Bend and Suttle Lake. Submitted 6 comments on projects covering more than 200 miles of trail and nearly 2.5 million acres of Central Oregon wild lands. Engaged in 1 national campaign to improve forest management.
