Water Infrastructure Support
Water Infrastructure: We are working to ensure that every community benefits from water infrastructure that is safe, reliable, affordable, and resilient in the face of financial, workforce, and environmental challenges. Today, far too many communities, especially small and under-resourced ones, struggle with aging systems, funding gaps, and policy barriers that jeopardize access to clean drinking water, effective wastewater treatment, and flood protection. Our team is tackling these challenges head-on by providing hands-on support to communities, accelerating the replacement of toxic lead pipes, expanding the reach and impact of state revolving fund investments, and driving larger scale adoption of green infrastructure. Drawing on expertise in policy analysis and research, engineering, municipal and utility finance, utility management and operations, data science, capacity development, regulation, and community engagement, we help build bridges from vision to implementation. By combining rigorous analysis, technical assistance, and collaboration with utilities, governments, and communities, we deliver practical solutions that strengthen local capacity, unlock sustainable financing, and help agencies move faster to protect public health, safeguard ecosystems, and build a water future where people and nature thrive.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$3.1MRestoration Program
Restoration: The mission of EPIC's Restoration program is to turbocharge a restoration economy through leadership in innovative ideas for faster conservation and restoration policies, advocacy for outcomes-driven contracting, and incentivization of immediate private sector investment in restoration projects. The Restoration Program is making ecological restoration faster, more cost-effective, and scalable by combining science, policy, and finance. To close the gap between public funding and need, we are advancing conservation finance solutions and innovative programs that generate both economic and ecological returns. Our multidisciplinary team partners with governments, Tribes, nonprofits, and the private sector to accelerate approval, funding, permitting, and implementation of projects.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$1.4MEnvironmental Technology Initiative
Technology: We believe that actionable data and innovative technology is key to speeding up environmental progress. Far too many critical environmental datasets are 20-50 years out of date, key insights are hidden away in PDFs, and agencies do not have the workforce necessary to effectively leverage technology for managing the environment. With a focus on the collaborative and equitable use of data, we drive government action by partnering with agencies, advocates, tech providers and NGOs to help them build, steward and utilize 21st-century digital infrastructures. From building data-based tools, recommendations and strategies, to establishing the collaborations and political will that will guide implementation, our work supports organizations and government agencies in reimagining how data and technology can be leveraged to accelerate environmental and public health progress.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$852.2K
