Sutter Health Philanthropic Support
Program Service Accomplishments: Through philanthropy, Sutter Health can practice the most innovative, technologically advanced medicine possible and meet the critical health care demands of our community. In 2024, Memorial Hospital Foundation contributed over $1.4 million in philanthropic gifts to support equipment, programs and services that help save lives and fulfill our not-for-profit mission. Nearly $600,000 in funds were released to provide care at Sutter Memorial Medical Center's Family Birthing Center's high-risk antepartum suites and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with the purchase of the most technologically advanced incubators and 3D Voluson ultrasounds and wireless monitoring for high-risk maternity care. In addition, $185K was provided for a portable OCT machine. - $154K was provided for Stryker small power sets in the operating room. - $207K was provided for an intra-aortic balloon pump system to help heart patients and other operational needs for cardiovascular services. - $121K was provided for a trident X-Ray system for breast cancer patients. - $231K was provided for various smaller capital items including the Volara treatment system that helped with traumatic respiratory injury, pneumonia and chronic lung disease.
