FAMILY WELL-BEING RESOURCE AND REFERRAL SERVICESEach year at Cope Family Center, more than 750 families seek a supportive, nurturing environment to help them deal with the stresses of daily living. At our Family Resource Center, we use a strength-based, prevention-focused approach to build parents' capabilities and prevent dysfunctional parenting practices that can result in ACEs. Our comprehensive range of services meet each family's unique needs through crisis intervention, education, information and referrals, and basic-need and well-being services.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2017 – Jun 30, 2018Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$799.1KProgram 2 [2018]
HEALTHY FAMILIES HOME VISITING PROGRAM - Cope Family Center's Healthy Families program provides intensive case management to over 60 low income, high-risk families annually. Services begin prenatally, and continue for 3 to 5 years. The program provides support and one-on-one interaction with a family by a Family Support Specialist. This program helps break the generational cycle of trauma that results from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). ACEs are events including abuse and neglect, substance abuse, parental incarceration, and/or domestic violence in the home. Preventing and engaging in early identification of people who have experienced ACEs has a significant impact on a range of health problems. Cope's Healthy Families program, delivered to model fidelity, is shown to improve health and educational outcomes for these families.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2017 – Jun 30, 2018Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$610KProgram 3 [2018]
TRIPLE P - POSITIVE PARENTING PROGRAM - Cope Family Center's Triple P program is a parenting and family support system designed to prevent as well as treat behavioral and emotional problems in children and teenagers. It addresses problems in the family, school, and community before they arise and creates family environments that encourage children to realize their potential. Cope's Triple P program functions as a preventative tool to help address the risk of child maltreatment and mitigate ACEs. Delivered to model fidelity, our program equips parents with the skills and confidence they need to be self-sufficient and to manage family issues themselves. Highlights include 79% of families participating in the program report improvements across a variety of measures including reduced anxiety, reduced depression and reduced stress.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2017 – Jun 30, 2018Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$566.1K
