Program 1 [2018]
Habitat for Humanity Tucson partners with low-income individuals and families to build or improve a safe and stable place to call home. Utilizing volunteer efforts, Habitat Tucson builds and rehabilitates market quality homes to sell to eligible low-income families with a non-interest-bearing mortgage. Habitat homeowners help build their homes alongside volunteers, completing 250 hours of "sweat equity" by doing home construction or in another form of service to Habitat Tucson. This fiscal year, Habitat sold 10 new energy efficient homes to low income families in Pima County. (Continued on Schedule O). Habitat also partners with the community to provide critical and minor home repairs services, which include roof replacements, mechanical system upgrades, exterior repairs, landscaping and neighborhood clean ups and minor interior modifications. These services support long-term livability with and for eligible families. In total, 55 comprehensive home repair projects were completed, to include 32 A Brush with Kindness projects. In addition, as part of habitats global impact partnership, 27 families in Mexico and Bangladesh now have access to adequate shelter, potable water and sanitation.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2017 – Jun 30, 2018Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$2.8MProgram 2 [2018]
