5,300 Entrepreneurs and $2.2 Million USD loaned through our 472 self-help Groups (SHGs) funded to date, each comprising 12–15 members, we’ve empowered over 5,300 entrepreneurs. These efforts have driven innovative projects such as strawberry value addition, beekeeping, and youth-focused initiatives. Our program has disbursed more than $2.2 million, fueling enterprise growth and fostering impactful change. Our rigorous training and screening process ensures beneficiaries seize opportunities while promoting sustainable, community-led development. The results? One in every 19 children does not survive to their 5th birthday. Maternal deaths remain unacceptably high, accounting for 14% of all deaths in women aged 15-49. Most of all these deaths are preventable. HopeCore’s Maternal and Child Health (MCH) program aims to address this challenge through mobile, community-based MCH clinics conducted in central community locations or in homes to ensure clinics are geographically accessible and mothers are comfortable. Our experienced healthcare teams conduct mobile MCH clinics across 516 villages in Mwimbi and Muthambi sub-counties. The teams conduct health education, provide free treatment services, supplementation of micronutrients such as vitamin A to under-five children, prenatal multivitamins, deworming of all children under five years, nutritional assessment, and offer family planning to women.GeographiesChogoria, KenyaDatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedHealth care access,Health care quality,Childbirth,Family planning,Maternal and perinatal healthOlder adults,Young adults,Pregnant people56.7K–School Health Program
