The Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center provided free afterschool and summer programs for more than 400 students in 2020 in grades 3-12. We closed our center in March 2020 temporarily due to the pandemic. Private tutoring, assessments in math and ELA, homework assistance, coding and robotics, singing, virtual playground, world languages and culture with cooking, college advisement, SAT-prep and more were all offered online via Zoom. The Center provides SAT Test instruction and afterschool and summer programs for 301 students in grades three through 12 at its facility and other sites and scholarships for deserving college students.
