SCPR CONTINUES TO MAKE SIGNIFICANT EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE ETHNIC DIVERSITY AND LANGUAGE SKILLS OF OUR STAFF. OUR REPORTERS WORK DAILY IN THE ETHNIC COMMUNITIES OF GREATER LOS ANGELES. OUR TALK SHOWS BROADCASTS THROUGHOUT SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, BROADCASTING COMMUNITY VOICES TO THE ENTIRE REGION.SCPR CONTINUED TO BE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA'S PREMIER PUBLIC RADIO NEWS OPERATION, FEATURING THE MOST NPR NEWS IN THE REGION AND A LOCAL NEWSROOM THAT WON MULTIPLE AWARDS THIS YEAR, INCLUDING THE REGIONAL RTNA GOLDEN MIKE AWARD FOR THE BEST INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING AND AN LA PRESS CLUB AWARD FOR BEST RADIO INVESTIGATIVE. SERVING MORE THAN 832,000 LISTENERS EACH WEEK, SCPR IS SUPPORTED IN PART BY OUR 74,000 MEMBERS WHO CONTRIBUTED MORE THAN $12 MILLION IN FY2018.SCPR HOSTED OVER 49 PUBLIC SERVICE EVENTS IN THE CRAWFORD FAMILY FORUM AND AT VENUES THROUGHOUT SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. THE CRAWFORD FAMILY FORUM IS A WELCOMING, NON-PARTISAN, KNOWLEDGE-BUILDING SPACE WHERE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIANS OF ALL BACKGROUNDS CAN ENGAGE IN THE FACE-TO-FACE EXCHANGE OF KNOWLEDGE AND IDEAS THAT IS BECOMING INCREASINGLY RARE IN THE DIGITAL ERA. HAVING AN OPPORTUNITY TO NOT JUST HEAR, BUT SEE OTHERS AND HAVE DIRECT DIALOGUE GOES A LONG WAY TOWARD HELPING BUILD BRIDGES AMONG COMMUNITIES WHILE STRENGTHENING, DEEPENING AND EXPANDING OUR PUBLIC SERVICE.DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, WE AVERAGED OVER 748,000 UNIQUE VISITORS TO SCPR.ORG AND LAIST.COM, OVER 636,000 MOBILE WEB VISITS, OVER 336,000 TO SCPR'S MOBILE APPS AND 1.5 MILLION DIGITAL PAGE VIEWS.THANKS IN LARGE PART TO THE ACQUISITION OF LAIST THIS YEAR, WE INCREASED SCPR'S SOCIAL MEDIA AUDIENCE (TWITTER, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, PINTEREST AND YOU TUBE) TO MORE THAN 1.2 MILLION COMBINED SOCIAL FOLLOWERS. SCPR HAS CONTINUED TO EXPAND NON-TRADITIONAL MEANS OF ENGAGING NEW AUDIENCES. SCPR IMPLEMENTED A PLAN DESIGNED TO FUNDAMENTALLY IMPROVE THE LEVEL OF DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION ACROSS THE ORGANIZATION. SCPR CONTINUED TO BE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA'S PREMIER PUBLIC RADIO NEWS OPERATION, FEATURING THE MOST NPR NEWS IN THE REGION AND A LOCAL NEWSROOM THAT WON MULTIPLE AWARDS THIS YEAR, INCLUDING LA PRESS CLUB AWARDS IN THE BUSINESS, NEWS FEATURE, INVESTIGATIVE, AND PANDEMIC REPORTING CATEGORIES. SERVING MORE THAN 621,000 LISTENERS EACH WEEK, SCPR IS SUPPORTED IN PART BY OUR 78,000 MEMBERS WHO CONTRIBUTED MORE THAN $22 MILLION IN FY2022. SCPR CONTINUED TO MONITOR COVID-19 RELATED EVENTS, MAKING APPROPRIATE ADJUSTMENTS TO ITS FUNDRAISING AND COST STRUCTURE. IN FY2020, "THE RISE TO THE CHALLENGE" CAMPAIGN FOR PANDEMIC RELIEF GENERATED OVER $8 MILLION IN ONE-TIME SUPPORT. IN FY2021 AND FY2022, SCPR USED APPROXIMATELY $5.6 MILLION OF THESE FUNDS, AND THEY WILL BE UTILIZED TO OFFSET ANY FUTURE MITIGATION EFFORTS. IN FY2022, PUBLIC SERVICE EVENTS HAVE BEEN SLOWLY OPENING IN PERSON DUE TO THE OF THE PANDEMIC. SCPR MAINTAINED TO KEEP EVENTS ON A DIGITAL PLATFORM WITH 25 VIRTUAL EVENTS, AND IN THE LATTER HALF OF FY22 OPENED TO THE PUBLIC WITH SIX IN PERSON EVENTS IN OUR NEWLY RENOVATED CRAWFORD FAMILY FORUM WHICH HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO MAKE IT MORE A DIGITAL FRIENDLY AND TOUCHLESS ENVIRONMENT. DURING FY2022, SCPR AVERAGED OVER 2 MILLION WEB VISITORS TO KPCC.ORG AND LAIST.COM, OVER 31 THOUSAND MONTHLY APP VISITS, 375 THOUSAND MONTHLY STREAM LISTENERS, AND AVERAGED 6.6 MILLION IN TOTAL PODCAST DOWNLOADS FOR THE YEAR. CONTINUED TO EXPAND NON-TRADITIONAL MEANS OF ENGAGING NEW AUDIENCES. THE SHOWS LAUNCHED WERE "IMPERFECT PARADISE," "THE ACADEMY MUSEUM PODCAST," "HUMAN NATURE," "RETAKE AND "SNOOZE" WHICH CAN BE LISTENED TO ON ANY PODCAST PLATFORM. LAIST STUDIOS FURTHER CONTINUED TO PRODUCE EXISTING SHOWS.
