Programs
Program 1 [2025]
Ohio Recovery Housing assists in moving individuals from substance abuse treatment to recovery to employment, with a focus on support services that enable and support individual successful entry or reentry into the workforce, thereby creating an employment "recovery ecosystem." We identify gaps, cost-benefits, and systemic needs, culminating in a strategic action plan to guide local operators, community members, and local leaders in strengthening their recovery-to-work ecosystems. Coordinating learning events to disseminate best practices and provides non-partisan education on recovery housing, codes/health and safety considerations, and alignment with NARR standards.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2024 – Jun 30, 2025Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$1.2MProgram 2 [2025]
Ohio Recovery Housing is developing a technological system to allow organizations to easily apply for, manage and report on their application for certification, to appropriately monitor and report certification status to partners. The technology will also provide free and optional resources to operators as they seek to achieve programming requirements related to the quality standards. Tools will include resident management features such as recovery planning, documentation, medication policies, grievances and others to be identified by operators. ORH will also work with RecoveryPeople to develop an online learning management system for new and existing recovery housing operators, ensuring that there is available education for those that need to access this informationGeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2024 – Jun 30, 2025Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$75.2KProgram 3 [2025]
Another major program provided by Ohio Recovery Housing addresses the challenges faced by recovery housing operators, particularly concerning minor repairs to their homes in order to meet the quality standards mandated by Ohio, effective January 1, 2025. ORH understands the necessity of striking a balance between regulatory requirements and the provision of support mechanisms for operators striving to meet these standards. With adequate funding and support, many recovery housing operators don't need to face insurmountable challenges in making necessary repairs and achieving or maintaining certification. We acknowledge the inherent disparities in resources among operators and provide targeted assistance to those in need.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2024 – Jun 30, 2025Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$294.7K
