In 2021, the Scratch Foundation launched the Scratch Education Collaborative (SEC), a global network of organizations that support children from underserved communities in developing their confidence with creative computing. SEC participants engage in a series of collaborative learning experiences as they work to create a self-sustaining community of practice and establish models for equity-centered creative coding resources Through the SEC, the Scratch Foundation works to increase access to creative computing opportunities for educators and children in traditionally underrepresented communities. Recruitment for cohort four organizations will continue to prioritize identifying and engaging organizations from target geographies that support these beneficiary groups, with a focus on those engaging girls and students from rural and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.GeographiesBrazil;India;United Kingdom;United States;Vietnam;Kenya;Europe;South America;North America;Middle East;Africa;Australia;Japan;ChinaDatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedComputer literacy,E-learning,Child educational development,Elementary education,Middle school education,STEM education,Teacher education,Web-based media,Cloud computing,Simulation software,Digital divide,Computer science,RoboticsAge groups,Students,Teachers3.2M–
