THE RAISING OF FUNDS IN CARLSBAD AND SOUTH EDDY COUNTY, NEW MEXICO, FOR AGENCIES IN SAID AREA CARRYING ON CHARITABLE, BENEVOLENT, HEALTH, AND WELFARE WORK; TO IMPROVE PEOPLE'S LIVES BY MOBILIZING THE CARING POWER OF COMMUNITIES AND TO IMPACT THE COMMUNITY THEREBY; UNITING AS FAR AS POSSIBLE ALL THE FINANCIAL CAMPAIGNS OF NON-PROFIT CHARITABLE, BENEVOLENT, HEALTH, AND WELFARE ORGANIZATIONS; THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE FUNDS SO RAISED AMONG THE PARTICIPATING NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS; PROTECTING THE CITIZENS OF THE AREA AGAINST SOLICITORS FOR UNWORTHY, INEFFICIENT, OR UNNECESSARY CHARITABLE APPEALS; AND TO HAVE AND EXERCISE ALL POWERS CONFORMING TO THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO UPON NON-PROFIT CORPORATIONS FORMED UNDER THE LAWS PURSUANT TO AND UNDER WHICH THE CORPORATION IS FORMED AS SUCH LAWS ARE IN EFFECT OR MAY AT ANY TIME THEREAFTER BE AMENDED.
